There is the main house and 2 separate apartments at Laila, plus the grounds, swimming pool, gym, table tennis and games room. The whole property is for your exclusive use. Ignore the private signs, this is from when we rent the rooms separately!
All the rooms are ensuite with mini kitchens as well and have names.

Press the top left button on the mando and hold for a couple of seconds to open the main gates, they close automatically behind you. When leaving, if you drive close enough to the gates they will open automatically.
In the event the gates don't open, it is usually because the electrics have stopped working. If you open the fuse box on the pillar to the right of the gates, if one of the switches is down, just push it back up!
You collect your main gate mando and key for the pedestrian gate (next to main gate) and back door key for the main house from the key safe marked "Casa de Laila" outside the main entrance using the code provided to you in your welcome email.
The front and back door keys to the apartments will be on the table in the main kitchen in the house.
There are keys to various external doors hanging inside next to the doors. Please ensure these are returned there if you need to use them.
The key to the Serenity external door also opens the barred doors to the terrace.
OK, when the light doesn’t work, it’s usually the bulb and when the remote doesn’t work, it’s usually the batteries.
In the shower & cleaners house by the pool, you will find some spare bulbs and AA & AAA batteries should you need them for lights, remotes etc. Please only use if those you are provided with stop working.
There is a BBQ by the pool area. If you wish to use, please purchase your own charcoal (they sell in Mercadona supermarket) and please clean the BBQ and utensils after use.
We don’t want you setting fire to the place, so we have some battery-operated candles in your accommodation. To operate, use the remote provided and point it at the candle.
S0metimes, some neighbouring cats will come to the house. You can feed them if you wish, there's usually a bag of cat food in the pantry.
Many rooms have a desk with a monitor. To use the monitor plug the HDMI lead into your laptop and in your display settings on your laptop choose to extend the desktop display to this screen. In windows these are found under Settings > System > Display
The main fuse board for the house is in the lounge. You'll also find fuse boards in the games room, some kitchens and the apartment lounges.
The games room can be accessed from within the house by entering through the "mirror" door in the lounge.
You have a few games in your room (chess, cards, Rubik’s cube, dominos) but there are also a few more games in the games room you can borrow in the trunk marked "Juegos". Please return them when you finish with them.
You should find these in each roomn.
If you are staying more than a week, spare laundry (sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, towels, tea towels, etc) can be provided free of charge, please just ask. Otherwise, you are provided with a washing machine and clothes drying rack in your accommodation. There is also a tumble dryer in the pantry.
There is a mop, bucket, broom and dustpan & brush in your accommodation and a vacuum under the stairs.
All rroms have an ironing board (sometimes under the bed) and an iron (in a kitchen cupboard).
There is a gardener/handyman (Sherif) who looks after the garden and lives next door, so may work in the garden from time to time but will keep out of your way if you are in the pool area.
The pool maintenance guys also come once a week to maintain the pool.
There is a desk with some basic office facilities in the games room. You can plug in your laptop to access a large monitor and printer. There are some instructions on the wall to help.
To turn on the lights around the pool and in the pool, use the little remote (please keep it in the outside pool kitchen area or we spend ages trying to find it again!). Please turn the lights off when you leave the area.
Most bedrooms have a safe. The safe starts with the code 0000. To open the safe, enter the correct 4-digit code and press the key or tick button (bottom right).
To change the code on the safe, when the safe is open remove the cover on the door to the battery compartment. Press the little red button inside the battery compartment, you will hear 2 bleeps. Then enter a 4-digit number and press the “Enter” or “Settings”key (bottom left). The new code is then set.

You have a first aid kit available in the pantry and in the room kitchen cupboards above the extractor.

We live in a bit of a jungle here so please use the net to remove any plant debris that goes in from the garden.
Occasionally we must close the pool for a day for cleaning.
The tap water is generally safe to drink.
We also have a salt filter machine that softens all the water here.

They are also written on the front of the router in your accommodation or you can just scan the QR code on the router and it should connect.
In the event the WiFi is not working, please unplug the router, leave for 60 seconds and plug in again. The main router is in the lounge in the house.
If not on the bed you should find some winter duvets in each bedroom.

Lamps in the lounge: There are 2 lamps turned on and off by a remote control you will find in the lounge area. A = lamp by the sofa, B = water fountain in the lamp, C = lamp by TV. Press the left button to turn on and the right to turn off.
